Bwambale Adonia and his family lived in Katulu village in Kilembe Subcounty in Kasese district. In 2002, he died as a result of Chronic Ulcers leaving a widow and 10 children helpless. He was a bread earner for this family, The widow and her 10 children survived in a hard situation, it was after the ADF war. Having one meal a day and sometimes without, inadequate clothing, Lack of shelter and access to education were some of the challenges they faced. The well wishers supported the widow in different ways to bring up her children and later, one of her sons called Mugisha completed Primary seven, he performed well and scored Division 01, this convinced the Local Government Authorities by then to offer him a 04 years scholarship to attend high school S1-S4. He again performed well at S.4 and scored Division 01 in 2007, this also convinced his former school to support him to complete the Advance level till 2009. By God’s Grace, he joined University and later graduated with Bachelors in Information Technology. While pursuing his education, Mugisha attained good skills in computer skills and mathematics, then he volunteered to teach his fellows and some schools also called him for the same. Mugisha says, “I looked at them struggling to learn, and the best I could afford was to help to organize some discussion groups on my own” since 2007.
Later Demand increased for his services and the work load also increased therefor, he mobilized other members to support him in order to sustain the project, he also established Ndyakurungi ITECH Computer solutions a business name that allowed them to operate. They later started to sponsor projects to support his fellow Orphans and other Vulnerable children (OVCs) using the money they collected from schools where they trained and the net revenue at ITECH, this charitable work led to the birth of Rwenzori Community Development Network (RCDNET) in 2010 as a non-governmental, nonprofit, Charitable, community-based Organization to empower the young children, Youth and the Women living below the poverty line.
In 2023, Rwenzori Community Development Network (RCDNET) was Incorporated and is legally operating as RCDNET Charitable Initiatives Uganda.
